Descripción
This project's goal is to enhance new approaches and strategies to different contests which are typical in Guatemala and the evaluation of new teaching practices inside the class. This project’s approach is practical, with a kind of teaching that promotes a work that groups activities aimed at training education professionals and teaching teachers to think critically regarding their teaching practice and their pedagogical ideas without leaving the theoretical training apart. Hence, the following is achieved:
The project results in a continuous training program aimed at education professionals, sharing their experience with professors and researchers from the University of Jaén and other Spanish universities, and in Guatemala, with the participation of the Universidad San Carlos de Guatemala, from Guatemala.
The impact of this professors and researchers network in Guatemala renders a strong transference of technology and knowledge in pedagogy, education and learning, which enriches Spain with a deeper and richer understanding of the teaching processes in Latin America and the Caribbean and gives a renewed knowledge in educational practices. Guatemala enriches with the educational practices that are transferred from Spain, hence enriching its whole educational process in the undergraduate and postgraduates study programs of the university that took part in this project.
FUNIBER participated locally in the country (Guatemala) by logistically supporting the project manager (University of Jaén).
The project was carried out with the PCI aid granted by the Spanish Agency for International Cooperation (AECI of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Spain).
